The Exam Preparation Program is a guided study to help you prepare for the ISP® exam.
The EPP is a structured, self-paced course designed to assist ISP® exam candidates in reviewing applicable Industrial Security policies and regulations, as well as general test-taking strategies. It provides a comprehensive review of the body of knowledge candidates must understand to achieve certification as an Industrial Security Professional.This is an on-demand course. Candidates may register between January 21 and September 30. After registration, please allow up to five business days for access to the course materials to be granted via the EPP community page in the NCMS HUB. Access to this community will remain available through the end of the calendar year.

What is the EPP?
- The EPP is a study tool offered by NCMS to assist individuals preparing to take the Industrial Security Professional (ISP®) Exam.
- The EPP is a structured, self-paced course that helps exam candidates review the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), other applicable Industrial Security policies and regulations, and general test-taking strategies.
- The EPP guides candidates through the topics covered on the exam.
- The EPP is a review of information with which candidates are expected to already be familiar.
What the EPP is Not
- The EPP is not designed to be an introduction to the NISPOM. To qualify to take the exam, a minimum of 2 years cumulative experience in Industrial Security is required. Exam candidates should already be familiar with the NISPOM.
- The EPP does not provide answers to exam questions.
What Material is Needed?
- All course materials are included in the EPP registration fee:
- $50 for NCMS members
- $100 for non-members

- Course materials are for registered participants only and may not be shared without authorization. Unauthorized distribution constitutes a violation of ISP® ethical standards.
